James Reilly

James Reilly is Area Director in Dublin at Black & White Engineering, bringing over 30 years of experience in building services engineering. With a strong foundation in delivering complex, highly regulated environments including significant experience in healthcare, James now applies his expertise to the design and delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, supporting the growing demand for data centre development across Ireland and Europe.

Throughout his career, James has developed a deep understanding of engineering systems, working across all stages of the project lifecycle, from early concept and design through to delivery and commissioning. His background in sectors such as healthcare has equipped him with a rigorous, detail-focused approach, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. He has contributed to the design of some of Ireland’s largest healthcare facilities, implementing innovative solutions for modern medical environments.

In his current role at Black & White, James leads multidisciplinary teams delivering complex data centre and infrastructure projects. He is responsible for ensuring that projects meet client expectations in terms of performance, budget and programme, while maintaining a clear focus on quality and consistency. His experience enables him to navigate complex technical requirements and deliver practical, buildable solutions that support long-term operational success.

James works closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure alignment at every stage of the project, fostering strong relationships and collaborative working environments. His approach reflects Black & White’s commitment to delivering solutions that are clear, simple and correct.
