Jamie Darragh

Jamie Darragh is Data Centre Director for Europe at Black & White Engineering, leading the delivery of complex, mission-critical projects across the region. With a strong focus on technical quality, design coordination and client engagement, Jamie plays a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards, clear, efficient and aligned with client objectives.

A Chartered Engineer and member of both CIBSE and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Jamie has been working across the UK, Europe and the Middle East since 2005. Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive experience in the design and delivery of data centres and other technically demanding environments, giving him a deep understanding of the challenges associated with large-scale, high-performance infrastructure.

In his role at Black & White, Jamie is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams across a range of major data centre developments throughout Europe. He works closely with clients from early-stage design through to delivery, ensuring that solutions are technically robust, commercially viable and delivered with clarity and precision. His approach combines strong engineering expertise with practical, real-world insight—enabling him to navigate complex requirements while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes.

Jamie is known for his collaborative leadership style and his ability to build and develop high-performing teams. He is passionate about creating an environment where engineers can grow, share knowledge and deliver their best work. This aligns closely with Black & White’s “One Global Team” approach, where collaboration across regions and disciplines is key to solving complex engineering challenges.

He regularly shares insights through speaking engagements, panel discussions and industry publications, contributing to conversations around data centre design, performance and the future of digital infrastructure. His thought leadership reflects both his technical expertise and his commitment to advancing best practice across the sector.

Throughout his career, Jamie has received several industry awards recognising both his technical capability and his contribution to the built environment. Notably, he has been recognised as “Engineer of the Year” at leading Middle East industry awards, reflecting his impact on high-profile projects and his commitment to excellence in engineering.
