Caff Allen

Caff Allen is Global Director of Learning & Development at Black & White Engineering, where she leads the design and delivery of learning strategies that support the growth and performance of the company’s global team. She is responsible for identifying development needs across the business and creating impactful learning solutions that operate both globally and at a local level, aligned with Black & White’s “One Global Team” approach. 

With over 30 years of experience managing large, client-facing teams, Caff is an accomplished learning designer, facilitator and coach. She specialises in leadership development, communication, change management, client experience and group dynamics, designing programmes that are practical, engaging and tailored to real-world challenges. Her work spans face-to-face, virtual and digital delivery, ensuring accessible and flexible learning for a global workforce. 

Caff’s approach is grounded in a strong academic foundation, with studies in Educational and Organisational Psychology, Coaching, Functional Fluency and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). She combines theory with practical application to create blended learning experiences that drive meaningful behavioural change and long-term capability development. Her learner-centred philosophy ensures that programmes are designed to reflect the diverse ways in which individuals think, learn and engage, enabling both personal growth and collective team performance. 

At Black & White, Caff plays a key role in developing the capabilities that underpin high-quality project delivery and strong client relationships. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, she supports the development of high-performing teams and enhances the overall client experience. 

In addition to her internal leadership role, Caff contributes to wider industry conversations around skills development and capability in the engineering and data centre sectors. Through thought leadership and published insights, she advocates for evolving approaches to learning that keep pace with the changing demands of the industry.
