Devan Moodley

Devan Moodley is Director of Power Systems & Infrastructure at Black & White Engineering, based in the Manchester office. He leads the Power Systems team globally, ensuring technical excellence, consistency and compliance with relevant codes and standards across all projects.

Devan brings extensive experience in power systems engineering, with a strong background in power plant design, construction and operations. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of power infrastructure, enabling him to support complex, high-performance projects with a clear focus on reliability, efficiency and compliance.

In addition to his work in power generation, Devan has significant experience in utility network analysis, performance optimisation, connection and planning studies, and the development of custom software models for renewable energy plants. This breadth of knowledge allows him to provide detailed technical insight and support clients in navigating increasingly complex energy and infrastructure challenges.

At Black & White, Devan plays a key role in setting technical direction for power systems engineering, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that solutions are robust, coordinated and aligned with project requirements. His leadership supports the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, where resilience and performance are essential.
