Michael Mahieu

Michael Mahieu is Country Manager for France at Black & White Engineering, leading the company’s data centre initiatives across France and intensively supporting its development and growth. Based in Paris, Michael brings over 25 years of international experience in engineering and project delivery, with a strong track record of leading complex developments across multiple regions.

Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Michael combines multidisciplinary technical expertise with a practical, delivery-focused approach. Michael obtained his Engineering first class degree from one of the top and highly selective institution in France through a very competitive process. Since beginning his career in 2000, he has worked across a wide range of geographies, including France, Russia and the UAE, giving him a broad perspective on engineering challenges, regulatory environments and client requirements in diverse markets.

While Michael now specialises in data centre and digital infrastructure projects, his career spans a wide variety of building services sectors. He has delivered high-profile projects including the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, designed by Frank Gehry, the restoration of the historical mansion in the centre of Paris and many luxury residences across Europe. His international portfolio also includes major high-rise and offices developments, including the tallest high-rise towers in Europe.

In his current role, Michael is responsible for driving Black & White’s growth in France, building a strong local team and strengthening client relationships in a rapidly expanding market. He is focused on delivering high-performance, technically robust solutions that align with both global best practice and local requirements, supporting clients in the delivery of complex, mission-critical infrastructure.

Michael is known for his adaptable and collaborative approach, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes. His ability to combine technical depth with international experience allows him to navigate complex projects with clarity and confidence, delivering solutions that are both innovative and practical.

With a strong foundation in engineering and a clear focus on growth and delivery excellence, Michael is playing a key role in strengthening Black & White’s presence in France and supporting its continued expansion across Europe and beyond.
