Bobby Cruz is Global Design Hub Director at Black & White Engineering, based in Manila, where he leads the company’s Global Design Hub in the Philippines. With over 40 years of professional experience in mechanical design and project management, Bobby plays a key role in supporting the delivery of complex engineering projects across Black & White’s international network.

Bobby has built a highly diverse career, leading engineering design on large-scale projects across multiple regions, including the Philippines, UAE, Qatar, the UK, Indonesia, and other parts of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His experience spans a broad range of sectors, including data centers, commercial developments, mixed-use projects, mission-critical facilities, clean rooms, industrial developments, and district cooling systems. This extensive experience has given him a strong understanding of global design standards, regional requirements, and the coordination needed to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across different markets.

As Global Design Hub Director, Bobby is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team that supports projects across Black & White’s global offices. He plays a central role in enabling the company’s “One Global Team” approach, ensuring seamless collaboration between regions and providing the technical capability and resource flexibility needed to deliver complex projects efficiently. His leadership helps drive consistency, quality and scalability across the business.

Bobby’s core expertise includes developing engineering schemes, concept design and the preparation of tender and construction documentation. He brings a structured and detail-oriented approach to design, ensuring that solutions are technically robust, clearly communicated and aligned with project requirements from the earliest stages through to delivery.
