Clive Smith

Clive Smith is Head of Design Management for APAC at Black & White Engineering, bringing over 25 years of international experience in leading complex projects and building high-performing teams. Based in Singapore, Clive plays a key role in supporting the company’s regional growth strategy, strengthening its presence across Asia Pacific and extending its reach into new and emerging markets.

Clive has worked across a broad range of industry sectors, including utilities, telecommunications, building controls and large-scale development projects. His diverse background provides him with a well-rounded perspective on project delivery, enabling him to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes in technically demanding environments.

Throughout his career, Clive has been involved in a number of complex infrastructure and mission-critical projects, including telecommunications and satellite systems for defence applications, major utilities infrastructure developments, and control systems for smart city initiatives. This experience has given him a strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure delivery and the importance of integration, reliability and performance.

Clive provides strategic leadership across the APAC region, ensuring projects are delivered through a structured and collaborative approach. He works closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to align objectives, manage risk and maintain consistency across all stages of delivery. By bringing together commercial, technical and programme priorities, Clive ensures projects are well-coordinated, efficiently delivered and aligned with client expectations across diverse markets and complex environments.
