David Williams

David Williams is Director of Civil & Structural Engineering at Black & White Engineering, where he leads the development and delivery of civil and structural capability across the business. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, David brings 40 years of extensive domestic and international experience and a strong technical foundation to his role.

Throughout his career, David has worked on a wide range of engineering projects across the globe, spanning both building structures and civil infrastructure. His experience covers multiple sectors and project types, giving him a broad perspective on design challenges and delivery approaches. He has contributed to projects of varying scale and complexity from major infrastructure developments to highly specialised and innovative builds, demonstrating both versatility and depth in his engineering expertise.

David has a particular interest in how structures are detailed, assembled and perform over time. This focus on the practical application of design, and the lessons learned from completed projects, underpins his approach to engineering—ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also durable, efficient and continuously improving.

In his role at Black & White, David is focused on building and leading a high-performing civil and structural engineering team that integrates seamlessly with the company’s global operations. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions that support complex, mission-critical projects across multiple regions.
