Jeán van Loggerenberg is Area Director for Dubai at Black & White Engineering, bringing over 30 years of consulting and building services engineering experience across the Middle East and South Africa. In his role, Jeán leads and oversees the project teams in Black & White’s Dubai office, including team development, growth and project delivery. He combines deep technical expertise with a proven track record in regional leadership, business development, and delivery of projects across the GCC.
Since joining Black & White, Jeán has drawn on an extensive career spanning senior roles – including Senior Design Engineer, Director, General Manager, and Partner – within international consulting engineering firms. This breadth of experience gives him the ability to engage with clients at every level: from engineering design through to commercial strategy, operational performance, and long-term regional growth.
Jeán brings a comprehensive understanding of the technical and commercial demands of mission-critical infrastructure in the Middle East market. His background in mechanical engineering, combined with specialist qualifications as an Uptime Accredited Tier Designer (ATD™), positions him to support clients across the full data centre project lifecycle. He is known for delivering clear, practical solutions that balance design excellence, quality, sustainability, and commercial performance.
Beyond project delivery, Jeán is involved in building Black & White’s regional relationships, market presence, and team capability in Dubai. Recognised for developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and fostering inclusive, values-led cultures aligned with global consultancy standards, he is committed to nurturing local talent and embedding the culture and ethos that define the Black & White way of working.
Jeán is a respected figure across the regional construction and engineering community. He served as Chairman of the Dubai Construction Industry Business Group (Al Moltaka) from 2022 to 2026, and has been a founding committee member since the group’s establishment in 2012 – engaging with senior industry stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities to promote collaboration and best practice across the sector.
