Obi Onuora

Obi Onuora is an Area Director for London at Black & White Engineering, where he leads the delivery of engineering solutions across one of the company’s key strategic regions. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of experience, Obi has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and high-performing designs across a wide range of sectors.

Obi’s experience spans commercial offices, co-working environments and complex, multi-project portfolios. He has led multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically demanding projects, bringing a clear focus on engineering best practice and client outcomes. Prior to joining Black & White, he served as PMO Engineering Lead for Barclays’ Real Estate portfolio, where he oversaw the delivery of engineering solutions across 35 to 40 projects annually demonstrating his ability to manage large-scale programmes with consistency and precision.

He has significant expertise delivering data centre projects, with over 10 years of data centre experience, delivering data centres of varying scale from smaller edge projects to large GW campuses for hyperscale clients.

Obi’s career has given him a well-rounded perspective, having held roles with consulting engineers, design and build contractors, and as a client representative. This breadth of experience enables him to approach projects holistically, balancing technical excellence with commercial and operational considerations to deliver practical, buildable solutions.

Recognised early in his career for his leadership and drive, Obi was awarded the ‘Newcomer Award’ by Building Magazine. Today, he continues to bring that same energy and commitment to his role, leading teams that deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.

As Area Director, Obi is focused on strengthening Black & White’s presence in London, building high-performing teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
