Stephen Royston

Stephen Royston is Area Director for Saudi Arabia at Black & White Engineering, bringing over 30 years of international experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams across the UK, Middle East, Asia and North America. A Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE, Stephen combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, supporting the delivery of complex, large-scale developments across global markets.

Based in the Middle East, Stephen is responsible for supporting Black & White Engineering’s continued growth and project delivery across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He works closely with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of technically demanding projects aligned with the region’s ambitious development programmes and rapidly evolving infrastructure landscape.

Throughout his career, Stephen has led engineering and design teams across a broad range of sectors including mission-critical infrastructure, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, mixed-use, industrial and entertainment developments. His experience spans executive leadership, integrated design delivery, business growth and key client management, giving him a strong understanding of both technical and commercial project drivers. His portfolio includes major developments across the Middle East and internationally, including large-scale hospitality, infrastructure and destination projects in Saudi Arabia.

Prior to joining Black & White Engineering, Stephen held senior leadership positions within globally recognised consultancies, where he was responsible for regional engineering operations, strategic client relationships and multidisciplinary project delivery. He has extensive experience leading international teams and developing collaborative delivery models that improve coordination, efficiency and project outcomes across multiple regions.

Stephen is known for his collaborative leadership style and his ability to build trusted client relationships while bringing together multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. With a strong focus on technical excellence, operational efficiency and integrated delivery, he continues to support Black & White Engineering’s growth across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region.
