What’s in it for You

Shape high impact projects

You’ll be embedded on site, reviewing contractor submissions, attending inspections, witnessing testing and commissioning, and ensuring that what gets built reflects what was designed.

It’s a role with real responsibility and one that keeps you close to the technical detail of every project.

Build your technical expertise across a range of disciplines

From reviewing shop drawings and method statements to supporting RFIs and design change documentation, you’ll develop a broad understanding of how complex MEP projects are delivered from the ground up. The exposure across disciplines and stakeholders is significant at this level.

Supporting senior leadership on projects

In the absence of a Senior Site Engineer, you’ll attend technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractors, representing Black & White and the standard of our delivery. It’s the kind of responsibility that builds confidence and capability quickly.

Be part of a growing site services function

Site Services is one of the fastest-growing areas of our business. Joining now means being part of a team that is expanding rapidly, with genuine opportunity to progress into Senior Site Engineer and broader site leadership roles as the function scales.

Contribute to how we improve

Through lessons learnt trackers, snagging reviews and direct liaison with the office engineering team, your observations on site directly inform how we improve.

Essential skills

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline
  • Experience supporting the delivery of building services or MEP projects on site
  • Ability to read, review and comment on contractor installation drawings, shop drawings and method statements
  • Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes and quality assurance documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to site inspection and reporting
  • Good communication skills — able to liaise clearly with contractors, clients and the office engineering team
