Building Information Modelling

Giving data centre developers complete confidence that every decision is informed, every design is coordinated and every outcome is predictable.

Right first time. Every time.

Data centres are among the most complex buildings in the world to design and deliver. MEP systems, structural requirements, power infrastructure, cooling strategies and sustainability targets must all be resolved within the same coordinated environment, with multiple disciplines, contractors and geographies involved simultaneously.
Our approach to BIM data centre engineering is embedded in how we operate at Black & White, built into our design processes and management systems from the first concept decision through to handover. The result is designs that are more accurate, programmes that run more smoothly and handovers that give clients truly useful, data-rich models and a foundation for how the facility is operated and maintained over its lifetime.

Leading BIM delivery across the industry

Our BIM maturity has been built through sustained investment  in our people, our systems and our tools. Our certified BIM champions hold Autodesk® Revit® MEP:2015 Certified Professional status, a qualification held by a small number of MEP engineering professionals globally.

Our internal management systems are certified to BIM Level 2 under ISO 19650 and PAS 91:2013, and are embedded within our UKAS-accredited ISO 9001 quality management framework.

Beyond our own BIM data centre engineering projects, we actively engage with industry bodies to help shape the standards that govern how BIM is applied across the data centre sector contributing to how digital delivery evolves.
