Lead Design for AI-Ready Hyperscale Facility in Riyadh
Designed for AI. Delivered Across Every Discipline. That’s the Black & White Way.
- Sector
- AI Data Centre
Black & White Engineering was appointed as Lead Design Consultant for a next-generation, AI-ready hyperscale data centre in Riyadh. The scope was fully multi-disciplinary, covering MEP, ICT, security, HV, structural, sustainability, CFD and civils. Close coordination across all workstreams was required from the outset, with CFD analysis embedded throughout to validate design decisions.
Our Approach
Full Multi-Disciplinary Lead Design
Black & White led design across all disciplines; MEP, ICT, security, HV, structural, sustainability, CFD and civils under a single integrated appointment. This breadth of in-house capability ensured complete coordination across every workstream without the fragmentation that comes from managing multiple lead consultants.
AI-Ready Infrastructure Design
The facility was designed from the ground up to accommodate AI workloads, with the power density, cooling infrastructure and resilience topology required to support next-generation compute at scale. Every design decision was made with AI-ready performance requirements as the baseline.
CFD and Sustainability Integration
CFD analysis was embedded throughout the design process to validate thermal performance at the required densities. Sustainability was integrated across the programme as a core design discipline rather than a post-design overlay, ensuring the facility meets the environmental standards expected of large-scale hyperscale infrastructure.
The Result
- AI-ready hyperscale data centre designed under a single integrated Lead Design appointment
- Full multi-disciplinary scope delivered in-house: MEP, ICT, security, HV, structural, sustainability, CFD and civils
- AI-ready infrastructure designed from the ground up to accommodate next-generation compute workloads
- CFD-validated thermal design supporting high-density AI infrastructure requirements
- Sustainability integrated as a core design discipline across the full programme
